Diversity Excursions, Ltd. was created in February 2000 as the trading subsidiary of The Global Diversity Foundation. It designs tours – called ‘diversity excursions’ – for guests who stay at Jnane Tamsna in Marrakech, Morocco.

Whats New

Jnane Tamsa is hosting a series of literary salons in 2004 - 2006. Stay tuned for details of the renowned authors who will be in residence. Barbara Trapido will be our guest author in January 2006, followed by Anthony Sattin in April.

Special events at Jnane Tamsna in 2005 -2006 will include wellbeing weeks organised by Inspa Retreats (www.inspa-retreats.com), culinary adventures hosted by Peggy Markel (www.peggymarkel.com), and 'Moroccan Landscapes' architecture and design tours led by Classic Safaris (www.classicsafaricompany.com.au).

Whats Past
The Harvard Museum of Natural History hosted a succesful Spring 2004 tour in Morocco. Behind the Walls: The Secrets of Moroccos Medieval Cities, Souks, Kasbahs and the Great Atlas Mountains took place from 27 March to 10 April 2004, with the last four days in Jnane Tamsna. Diversity Excursions organised trips to the Atlas mountains, Argan Biosphere Reserve and Marrakech Medina.

From 1 - 9 April 2003, Professor Sir Ghillean Prance and Lady Anne Prance led an exploration of southern Moroccan fauna, flora and landscapes for the Friends of the Eden Project. Designed by Diversity Excursions in collaboration with Boxwood Tours, the trip was based in Jnane Tamsna, with excursions to the High Atlas, Oasis du Sud Biosphere Reserve and Argan Biosphere Reserve. The Friends of Eden are planning a return visit in March 2006.
